2017 Wrap Up:
Hello readers, it’s crazy to realize that 2017 has come to
an end already, but here we are. I feel that for most people, (myself included),
2017 was a year of tests and change. For me it was a year of self reflection
and decision making. Most of those
decisions will be coming into fruition in 2018. As always with change, I am a
little bit nervous but mostly excited. I feel that I am plowing the road so
that it is clear to walk down and experience new things.
I faced a few fears this year, learned more about myself and
decided to follow my gut instincts on some things. I have decided to work with
a business coach to run a business of Writing Coaching. I have learned a lot in
my journey as an author that I want to share with others. This goes hand in
hand with having a Master’s degree in Educational Counseling. I feel like this
way, my writing and education will finally meld together in a great way. I also
plan on trying to meld my corporate experience with this writing counseling
venture as well. To that end I have created my new Facebook group called, Wise
Warrior Writers. This will be a writing support group for writers and want to
be writers, where I will offer, support, tips, tools, free gifts, videos and
discounts on my counseling services and workshops. My mission for it is simple,
Wise Warrior Writers: We fight through
our writing fears together! I hope you will join us! https://www.facebook.com/groups/311357982714998/about/
My first workshop which will be available in January 2018,
(I’ll be announcing the exact date soon.) Will be entitled, Take the
Overwhelm Out of Writing: Start Your New Year Right, Write Now! It will be
a 5 day workshop offered online and will include several free gifts, live videos;
a ton of info for you to keep and even some fun homework, yes homework can be
fun. 😁
I hope you will all check it out. I’ll be posting the signup sheet for it soon
so that you can jump in.
I’ve also started organizing and creating a six week course
that I will be offering, most likely in mid-January that will be very in depth!
A ton of topics will be discussed in that one. More to come…..
On top of all of this awesome change regarding creating my
Writing Counseling business, I have also decided to self publish my second
Elven Quest book entitled, Persistence
& Belief: Elven Quest book 2. I am currently in communication with
someone about creating the cover. I will be running through the last edit and
it will be available for sale very soon in 2018. I love the second book because
there are some great scenes with some new characters, as well as some
ridiculously awesome magical scenes and confrontational scenes too. It’s a great
new chapter in Isobel’s life I can’t wait to share it with you! If you haven’t
read the first Elven Quest book yet, The
Burden of Destiny: Elven Quest book 1, I have great news, it is currently
on sale for Amazon Prime members for the holidays, so check that out soon.
I also spent this year trying out a new genre and writing a
story that is more of a YA drama. Sort of in the style of Anne of Green Gables,
that story is also coming along well and will most likely be finished sometime
early in 2018. I also plan to publish that one, perhaps in the summer. I can’t
wait for 2018 to come, it will be a busy one for me but I hope one of great
changes and success. I am looking forward to sharing my journey and writing with
you all and I am very glad to wish you all the best for you and your families
for the holidays. 😇 See you next year and remember, writing=happiness
;).
